Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
